Smoker burnt
My smoker arrived yesterday i put some oil inside and turend everything on minutes later alot of smoke came out and it smelled like burning i switched it of and opened the top bit up secured by 4 screws i realised that the cotton attched to the mini board inside was half burnt and looking in bad condition what can i do from here.

That is normal. The material gets scorched near the hot element, but as you say smelt burning sounds like no oil on the wick and in picture looks dry as well.

Yes tankbear that is right i ran out of oil but will it still run if new oil is added

Yes. Maybe not creating the as much smoke because the scorch forms a slight barrier to the oil

Yup sounds like the Tankbear gave you good advice Apple.... wet the wick...stick it back in the pot ... and see if it still smokes ...man that sucker looks really dry... when i got my new smokers all of them were pre soaked...so testing wasn't an issue... just plugged them into the RX and they worked
