Post by Andicog »

Hi, I,ve had a go at weathering my first tank, I mainly used enamels for wash, rust etc, wondered should I give the whole thing a coat of matt clear and if so what should I use ? Thanks  ???

Following advice from the forum I have just bought a tin of Ronseal Fast Drying Matt varnish, it should last years compared to the tiny pots that model shops sell?

Klear Kote floor polish is another one that people use.

Johnsons Klear is brilliant for a gloss coat and the more misty coatings you apply, the deeper the shine. Ronseal matt varnish is the best for a matt coat that does not "frost" - but it needs to be thinned.
