How long does the smoke last? in the air 10-20 seconds (if outside less), or between oil refills? (quite a long time)

Yes can increase smoke but there isn't much left of the original smoker. Search smoker in the forum and there are lots of posts.

Only a few drops in the pipe and make sure it goes in the resovior. DO NOT put a lot in it will stop working as the heater will be in the oil and heating the oil not the wick which makes the smoke. Also too much and you find the oil comes out when handling the tank like changing the battery.

No worries.

The smoker construction is quite basic.

Heating element (think 14ohms)
Cotton wick wrapped around the element
Oil tank where the wick bottom picks up the oil
Pump

So for more smoke people normally do

Cut off pump and put in a small laptop fan. More air = more smoke, but only to a point other wise you cool down the element
Change the heating element, so lower resistance = more heat. Don’t go below 10ohms though
Change cotton wick for some thing smaller, as the standard one is like a rope in size.

They all fill pretty easily Apple... usually from the outlet hoses that lead to your exhaust.....but what I would recommend is... on your new smoker... leave at least one of the angled black hose hook ups free...that way you can lift that off and drop the fluid in the hole...two drops is usually plenty enough for a couple of hrs of play... but usually your battery is drained by that time

Lots of fun indoors though..reason I keep mine in my tanks and don't strip them out

Good Luck Apple
