Evening All.

Post by Marky Voodoo »

Evening Folks.

New to the forum so thought i would pop along and say Hi. Im Mark, 34 years old, and live in sleepy old Dorset with my wife and two young daughters. Always been a avid modeller from a young age and love nothing more than retreating to my "man cave" to build a model, tinker with my Nitro cars or add some detail to my model railway.
Ive always loved the "Tamiya" Range and had many RC models of theirs over the years. But have never owned the jewel in their crown... One of their Tanks. Im hoping one day to get my hands on a Jagdpanther.
I found out about the Heng long brand a couple of years back and went on to buy a Bulldog, Tiger, Panzer IV DAK.Loved the tanks and went on to mod them as best i could.
Circumstances changed and i sold my beloved collection. Bulldog went on ebay and the other 2 panzers went to a chap called Andy on here. I had a text from him the other day and he tells me he now owns several tanks! So im guessing the bug well and truly bit him! Lol!
Anyway i was browsing the net a few weeks ago and came across the HL Sherman...couldnt resist and went on to treat myself to the S&S version. Chuffed to bits with the tank, have done abit of weathering on her and added another crew member. Ive never really upgraded the insides of the tank, and would love to have a try with this one. Hoping to upgrade to metal tracks, gear boxes etc and get a decent sound system in there along with a proportional smoke unit.

Thanks for reading folks.

Talk soon.

Mark.

Good Evening,
Welcome to the Forum. Lots of useful information and informative folks here. I will not nag for pictures since you have already kindly posted a thread on your excellent Sherman. ;o) Enjoy and may the next few you are coerced into buying by low price and excellent attributes be even more fun.
regards,
painless
