Post by tomhugill »

Well folks things have been quite quiet on the norbert build thread. However I have been feverishly working to get her ready for our next club meet at Hyde on Sunday, here is a peak at the progress:

Nice! Which colour did you use? Looks pretty much spot on for RAL 8021.

Interesting colour...... Almost like a mix of Tamiya dark yellow and desert yellow. Do tell, Tom !

It's tamiya dark yellow with the ak interactive DAK filter. I'm pretty pleased with the shade! It's also got four progressively lighter layers of colour modulation.

OK ... put the tracks on Tom... it's perfect... pack it up and send it over... I could put some Kuromorimine Markings on it ...a girl commander... and she'll be a great addition to my collection :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:

Kidding of course... the coloring is great ..

By the way Tom... I don't remember if you did any one color paint schemes on your other tanks... never said this before on this board...but I really think when someone does as much detailing as you did on this Tunisian Tiger...the single tone highlights those details better than multi colored camo works

Nice Job

Did you use the Dak wash as well? Its a really nice shade, you can really tell the difference that the Dak filter has on that colour, looks completely different that Tamiya dark yellow with an ochre filter on it.

I did, but as a pin wash rather than all over. I hope the DAK streaking grime works as nicely! I've got to figure out how to get a nice North African mud effect too.
