Disable 'tank lurch' recoil in HL tanks?
Is there a way to disable the 'tank lurch' recoil thing in HL tanks? I find it rather exaggerated and annoying, plus it can't be good for the gearboxes either.

The only way I know is very tedious... you have to change out all the electrics and install an aftermarket one...then add a special board to that
...I've learned to just live with mine ...I'm happy it's synchronized
....I've had chance to try some brands where the recoil comes three seconds too late
the gun fires (sound and bb)..three seconds later it jumps
......have to say though it gave me a good case of the laughs

Yeah I can imagine that would be hilarious.
One way I've heard of is by adding a second RX18 board and running the motors through one and turret functions through the other. That would be doable, just expensive.
Meh, I guess I'll learn to live with it as well.

Really not that expensive to add an extra RX-18. MichaelC has a bunch of my old ones and he has some too. We sell em cheap! Postage from Canada wouldn't be too bad. We converted all ours to Clark boards which lets you set the hull recoil (for lack of a better term) from 0 up. In our club most of us like a little recoil just not as crazy as HL's

I used to use a version of it with my MAKO boards, but if you are using BB you can get the Dragon:

I think there some dealers in UK as well. WDM also sell a version specifically for Taigen 2.4 Ghz unit from Asiatam.
Of course there is always the RX-18 x 2 solution as dgsselkirk says.........

Boy ...that Dragon board looks great... I remember canned having problems hooking it up though.... no big deal... since I hooked my rear lights up to the firing mech... everything is copasetic
... think I would end up missing that recoil

I just unplug the wire that runs from the re-coil switch in the gun to the RX18.stops the re-coil & the gun noise but you can still use the re-coil on the controller.
Re: Disable 'tank lurch' recoil in HL tanks?
I don't want to lose the gun noise though.

Pull out the safety red led in the mantlet... run it to the rear and make brake lights... it's what I did with my last three builds... adds a little bit of sense when firing from a stable position
