Hi Sean,

Good to have you here.

Tiger I is a great choice, with infinite possibilities for modelling. Lots of knowledge already on this forum, or if you can't find what you need just ask

The main thing is have fun with whatever you do :D

Oh yeah, which part of the UK are you in? I'm South coast.

Welcome to the hobby, you made a good first choice. The upgrade parts available for the tiger are infinite, my problem was buying too much too fast! I started with the HL King tiger and now my second tank is the tiger 1, I learned from the first tank to go slower on the upgrades...and I didn't believe them when someone here told me "that's just your first tank you'll see!"
The only hint on the tiger is about zimmerit. It looks fine and historically accurate with it or without it (zimmerit was introduced in 1943-months after the first tiger tanks saw combat in Leningrad-and ordered discontinued at the factories in october 1944.) Before I have even started painting I just ordered the zimmerit set from welsh dragon. You can of course add the zimmerit after its painted and modded but there's an awful lot to undo that way.

Looking forward to seeing how yours turns out!
