Keeping this thread alive... ???

Well summer is coming...did anyone find anywhere? The Devon link is coming up not found when I click on it. You would have thought that there would be an empty warehouse somewhere in these economically challenged times wouldn't you? I have to admit that I would love to be able to do battle on an arena with a mix of town and country, so that we had to utilise a bit of strategy about where we went and who we shot at.

The main problem seems to be hard cash, so is the way to go to contact an RC trucks club and do a deal with them? We could utilise the infield, and they get a circuit around realistic countryside and buildiings? I am in Bristol and don't know of any RC car clubs in the vicinity, so does anyone have any contacts?

Had a thought about this one of the chearest ways of renting land is an allotment usually under £5 per week could put a hut on no problem and as long as its tidy no one should bother were not growing anything .the only problem is where is the permanant battle ground going to be or will we have to have 2 one for the guys down south and one for the guys further north .The one down south I dare say Bovington would let you use there outdoor and indoor facilitys without charge as long as insurance is in place, there is a place at Doncaster air musium that has a model boat show inside one of there hangers maybe something like this maybe posible .

I can just picture it now....Achtung! Swedes approaching!!  ;D  We could start a new craze in Cabbage Patch tank commanders too?

Thats actually a very good idea, though I seem to recall that allotments are in high demand in these organic times. It's worth a look though.

There are quite a few abandoned quarries within 20 miles of Bristol, I have used them for rock crawlers and nitro trucks. Some are colossal and we wouldn't be bothering anyone. Undulating terrain, and plenty of space to erect portable battlefield accessories.
