Hi Markocaster,

I painted these with tamiya acrylics. The insignia and badges are a mixture of tamiya and peddinghaus water slide decals, and ABER pe parts. The camo clothing is original to the figures.

Hi tiger tiger,

I use two makes of water slide decals on german figures.

Tamiya.
These are very good quality, but you only get 1 of everything per sheet. You also get a whole load of 1/35 decals on the same sheet which I never use (if anyone wants them just drop me a PM, I think I have 4 sets at present :) ). I use these for shoulder boards, medals, officers cap badges. I get these from here.

Peddinghaus.
These are good quality, and you get far more on a sheet. You do have to cut these decals close the the insignia to avoid getting too much of the backing sheet as well, and I find that some of the decals are really quite poor (I don't like the iron crosses from these sets). They also have a set for SS uniforms but I have not tried those . I buy all my peddinghaus decals direct from them on eBay.

I also use 2 makes of photo etch detail parts. These are good for badges and medals among other things.

ABER.
Their detail sets for Pazer crew I really like. The assault badges are great, and I really like the headset pieces.

Alliance Model Works.
These are great value and have some vey good PE detail parts for figures. Lots on a fret, and very good etch detail. I like the wound badges from this fret, but there really is a lot on here and all of it is good ( even if some pieces are very delicate). Alliance also have a few other sets which I have not used yet but I do intend to try these out. Some of them also come with decals I think. White Ensign sells them too.

As you can see I tend to use and collect bits from all over the place to use with figures. I started off in this scale with figures and really enjoy modelling them. I think a good figure can really enhance the look of a tank when it is being displayed. :D :D :D

:haha: :haha: :haha: Not quite what I had in mind, but that figure certainly does enhance the look of the tank. Or could it just be that I am paying less attention to the details on the tank in this pic :O :O :O :D

Just a quick update on the Peddinghaus Wehrmacht uniform decal sheet I mentioned before.

It appears that the sheet may have been updated and improved, the layout has certainly changed from the one I bought a few months ago.

I will be needing more decals soon, so will buy a new set and let you all know what I think when they arrive

I am hoping that the detail in some of the awards/medals has been improved.

I have to say those are incredible. If there were master class for scale tank crew I'd nominate them all! If you chose I'm certain you could do very well with selling these even if you chose to paint say, just the heng long commander figures alone and sell them. I could not paint a fraction as well I WANT ONE!!!!! What would you charge for an HE commander?

Although I'd be a bit embarrassed if the crew figure were better then the tank build which with at least one of mine, would be the case... PM me please if you ever start selling these you could get $20-25 US for the HL half figure commander alone, easily. Seriously.
