Hi guys, have taken on board what you,ve said about the gas engined Vantex mods,...also...whats wrong with the Tiger..and its not just the barrel, ..its the track width...its way too narrow,...i,ve been in touch with Bigtanks.de and Wolfgang Ebsen ..the propriator..even advised against buying the Tiger,...too many issues...and thats coming from someone who really knows...The Sherman however is a better bet,..i,m going to go for the one with the bigger gun...in electric...i can get it delivered to the UK for 1350euro,s all in....i,m going to make it a German captured Sherman ..as in pic..and for the sound system..its a toss up between the Tamiya full option units...2 of which are on ebay..or the Benedini...or i could go for a Clark with the smaller Benedini...but these are early days...regarding the sound unit....see pic of proposed Captured Sherman

update on the Sherman...total cost to UK inc of delivery..is a measly 1250euro,s,..thats for a 24v electric version Sherman,..the 603 variant,..this price does not include the batteries or the 6ch TX .Rx ....if i want these then the price jumps to 1650euro,s + 50euro,s postage,....i can get 2 x 12v 12ah,for £30...and a 6ch Tx .Rx for under £75....so doing it this way save a fair bit....the model is a manageable size at 97cm long x 42cm wide,..and final weight will be 52kg,...on top of this price i,ll have the expense of the sound system,.....but all in all its a great deal,..will keep you informed as to when i,ve got my mitts on it

Update,...I will Not be buying a Vantex Sherman, or any Vantex model in the near future...they are advertised on German ebay,and on Tankzone,...but..its all a con,..the real story is..these "sellers"..do not have the model,...they are advertising it for sale,....but..they want you to pay them...then..the model is shipped direct to you from China...which when it arrives..means that it will be subject to VAT...on the cost of the model, the shipping and the insurance,....which will add another £260 + to what the model costs...thus making it an expensive foray into the unknown...

Thanks for the Heads Up Earwig... though it's pretty well known that Tankzone isn't a good vendor...I'm sure others who have been watching this thread appreciate your effort and conclusion

I was also going to say the sound you hear in the video is either a sound card or has been over dubed. A 26cc petrol engine doesn't sound like that, YouTube 26cc zenoah for a better idea.
