rechargeable tank batteries

rechargeable tank batteries

Hi,can anyone tell me what sort of batteries are used in the heng long tank battery packs.I have the end caps & plug but AA seem to small & D size are to big,I am trying to make a new pack with 2400 ah batteries.Thanks in advance,Ian

Hi Ian,

Neither, I think closest is a shorter version of C type. But if your wanting to make your own AA work and fit in the battery box.

thanks for the quick reply Ian,but I have made a bit of a basic mistake,you are correct the the batteries in the tanks are shorter & 3 aa's will not fit length wise so may have to have 2 sets of three.This will make the jumper wiring a bit more complicated,o'well back the drawing board,Ian

H,again,well I have been to maplin but they now don't stock the holders for 3 pairs of AA in line but they did have sub C rechargeable batteries in(at a whopping £5.99 each),so onto ebay & ordered 6 from hong kong(with solder tags) for about £8,00 so will see how these pan out when they eventually arrive .
