Hi Navman,

I normally use 7.4v LiPo 5000mah battery packs in my tanks. But with the IBU2 Pro you can use up to 12v batteries. Normally if you watch ebay people sell used packs for less than half new price.

I'm currently using this

In one of my tanks which is working great. Although I bought for £22 not £122

Hi Best tip is go for quality over quantity ,by the best one you can it will last much longer(both running time and age) and work out cheaper over time.I have bought cheaper type batteries when I started out and found out the hard way, also get a good charger one that does both LIpo and Nhim batteries.

If your buying lipos try the hobbyking uk warehouse. Excellent prices and the batteries seem to hold up well!
