Cheers Jeff :thumbup:
I have finally added the retaining cables not present on all deep wading Shermans but on the BoB ones, and I think it looks quite good (though not obvious);

Image

I just made some hooks from staples and tied thread to them at either end, attached to handles but easily removed.
Also painted the hedge row cutter, a bit more dusty than I wanted again but oh well;

So I can go off the boats and up the beach on D-Day with full trunks, after the beach carry on with half stacks, then D+1 onward with hedgerow cutter for the pesky Bocage :D

Got round to the new shoes at last :D

There is some small evidence there of the drop earlier :{ , just the lower hull from 10 inches or so but landed on front left mud guard where most of the damage is, and left motor is quite temperamental now but no visible reason why.
Got to mix up some paint anyway...........
Cheers

Good Afternoon,
Bump:
I wanted to bring this one to the forefront because several of us are currently working on Shermans and we are doing good work. Back in the day, 2-3 years ago, this fellow, MarkofZollo, _built_ a Sherman. Sassgrunt and Frynsdad no doubt remember this build and I hope that MarkofZollo is still around with his excellent M4A1 (Grizzly type) to offer advice to us aspiring Shermaholics. I hope the 'Lucky Tiger' still battles on.
regards,
Painless

Hi Painless, I am certainly still around but mainly on RCTR. Thanks for the kind words, not sure what help I will be but I will try my best!
I have been stalking on and off and certainly pleased to see the number of Shermans increasing on here!

Here's Lucky Tiger on my shelf;
Image

I realised a couple months back my thread on here and other forums had pictures that didn't work so updated some but never got round to finishing or updating to where this is now.
Last summer I removed the recoiling BB gun and made it an IR battler, it only worked briefly. I would like to fully convert the tank to IR with an internal battle unit but that will be after I have finished my T-34 which has been on the bench nearly a year :silent: .

Cheers,
Dave

Dave,
I learned a lot from your build as did many others I am sure. Thank you again and I am very glad to see that 'Lucky' battles on. ;o) With the new MATO all metal offerings coming out this year, the number of Sherman builds should go even higher.

Painless
