RC Tank question

Post by Redland »

I am planning on building myself a RC tank that has a replaceable outer shell that is molded out of plastic. From the tracks to the top of the turret it will be able to be replaced by recasting it out of plastic, except for the two motors, battery, gears, wireless radio, front view camera, turret camera, and metal BB gun in turret. So my question is, all together, about how much would it cost?

Don't re event the wheel mate, bit of an open question as well.

There are plenty of tanks built out of plastic which you can adapt, have you looked at this forum??

Sounds just like what Heng Long did with the Tiger 1 chassis when they crowbarred the "Pantiger" around it. Without anymore info it would be hard to give you an idea of the cost, if you don't have any particular real world tank in mind I'd suggest you pick up a mostly complete tank that's advertised as "for spares or repair". That should give you the running gear and control systems you'll need and then build up your hull around it.

Check this forums classified section and put up a wanted post or have a search on eBays RC section.
