RX18

Post by Dayfin »

Hi I am trying to fit an RX-18 unit in my Heng long Snow leopard. I can get power to the board and then nothing, has anyone else had problems with these units,or know of a solution to the problem. I am new to Heng Long having mainly Tamiya units so any help would be appreciated

Ola , Dayfin - you say you have power , so the lights flash but nothing else yes ? The battery MUST be fully charged . There are three buttons at the bottom of the transmitter , you press the left one ( for 'engine start/stop' ) before anything will work .
to the bouncy room ! Yay !

There's a little more info needed to answer the question... what model do you have... is it the deluxe or low end... as at the moment it sounds like you have a low end with the three channel selector board...if this is the case...you can't use the RX18 without changing the board with it...You will need the crystal board...and controller

OR

if you haven't invested too much..just purchase the new 2.4 gig rig Heng long has available now..about 70 dollars total controller and new RX as the one you have isn't compatible with the new system

ps .. if you are in the UK I don't advise purchasing from these guys... go through Welsh dragon or Forgebear
