Good Morning, ALpha,
Joe's M4A1 will clean up nicely once I apply a few of the lessons I've learned from doing the M4A3 to it. I don't want to get into it right now because it will wind up sitting in pieces while I am gone. I am a slow worker and go over things a few times before I implement them. I will begin on it as soon as I return. It will be a great project to work on while I am waiting for KV-2 stuff to arrive. I am already researching Poole's 'In The Mood' to see how close Mato came. ( looks pretty close )

Alpha,
You know that tank would have some stories to tell if it could talk. ;o) I will try to make my M4A1 worthy of the man and his machine.

The interesting thing about that " in the mood" tank.... there were actually three ... according to one of the articles I read while doing the research.... the guy was definitely something... adding up to what would be considered an ace in aircraft warfare

Are you going to do the two tone camo paint it wore or the later solid green...either way I'm sure it'll really be something...maybe another Iconic built that will appear when searching for images of schumo parts :haha:

With that said...You must not change Crazy Joe or demote him :D

Good Afternoon, Alpha, CH,
I will probably work with the tank in it's third ieteration as it was presented by MATO. That one had the tapered 76mm gun without the barrel banding. Removing over sized fittings and working to install a 2.4 GHZ set and giving it a serious paint job will go a long way to turning it into Poole's 'In The Mood'. He kept his tanks clean it looks like so basic weathering and not a lot of stowage. As CH noted, he didn't have the third version for long before it and his leg were shot out from under him. Don't worry, Alpha, Crazy Joe won't get changed but I may make up a figure suitable of being S.Sgt. Poole and give him his cleaned up M4A1 76(W). That means that Crazy Joe will have to get yet another new Sherman *chuckles*

HMMMMMMMMMMMM.......Thinking this is not a good project for you Painless :haha: ...
.removing Crazy Joe from his command shouldn't have been a consideration  ...almost as bad as repainting him

going to be sad watching you revamp the next one
