Re: Maxene
Sassgrunt,
Thank you, kindly, Mike. ;o) I promise to be careful and keep her out of rough country. I was telling Alpha last night that when firing the main gun, the only issue I had noted was that the packs on the railing need a little more recurve in the brass mounts on them to keep them in place. Otherwise, all of the metal makes 'Maxene' a very heavy tank. She just flattened the coarse winter grass and scrub in my front yard without taking any notice of it. Those Mato tracks are worth every penny and give great traction. Hehe, it feels like I have been around the world sourcing parts for this one. She is a very global tank. I'm taking a short hiatus from building as you know but I am already researching the next build. I have a 1/72 model of it to put together for a template. I'll get busy on it this week.

Scalawag,
Thank you again! Your expertise was very much welcomed. Those links you found and posted were invaluable as was your insight into the electrical work required. Take care and looking forward to the ongoing work on your builds.

Good Morning, Jaw7620,
Thank you for the kind compliments. I got a tip from another Sherman builder on here to use thin, clear removable doublesided tape to make blocks of stowage to lash down. Before that, you couldn't see the stowage for all of the rope required to hold 14 separate pieces in place *chuckles* It worked great for the stuff up front on the plank on the bow as well.

Good Morning, Cody614
Thank you for the compliments. The praise of a peer is a high thing indeed. I'm glad that you enjoyed the pics. Maxene will be around for a while to come and will undoubtedly show up in more armor shots.

Re: Maxene
Jarndice,
*chuckles* With the Holidays in between and a bout of Pneumonia, it took extra time to do the work. She really turned out well tho' and yeah, was a great excuse not to go out into the snow and cold, (except for parts and stuff ;o). Thank you for the advice and encouragement. I'm glad Maxene passes muster. Take care and looking for new photos of your builds!

Alpha, Jarndice,
I thought he looked more like James Franco: (The original black 'devil' eyebrows on the figure had to go) *laughs*
