Hi,
Can you tell which metal tracks you use with your Tamiya King Tigers and, what modifications do they require?
Best Regards
Keith.

Re: Ok..so my next King Tiger Metal track question...
I got tracks from Impact for my KT (Late 18T style) and JT (stock 9T). They are very strong and durable and very heavy (about 8-900gram each).
What you need to uppgrade is the stock track tensioner system.

Metal tracks also place a lot of strain on the gearboxes if you run on grass so I would recomend adding bushings or bearings to support the drive shafts .

hi keith.
i bought a metal track kit for my kt.
they weigh a ton & the idlers are like little hand grenades.
i have a henntec rear axle fitted & the weight of the idlers is too much for them.
so i went back to plastic tracks
cheers

I run impact and kennykong tracks on my king tigers. They both have the schumo idler arm support upgrade. Works fine. I found the tamiya plastic tracks to be very weak.

Ok, thank you Gentlemen, for the replies, it seems like this is the question I should have asked first.
So the way to go is impact tracks with modified idlers and tensioner assembly.
I will proceed with the build using the plastic tracks for testing then at a later date I'll update to metal.
Thanks again Chaps.
