This is my Sturmtiger.

Post by FredtheFrench »

Hello.

This is my Sturmtiger. The basis is the Hull of a Matorro and the Heng Long metal chassis. For electronic, It is Tamiya inside. The Sturmtiger was not a "beautiful" tank for me, but the price I paid was very cheap. But, since I work on this tank, I love it!!!

The dmd Tamiya is great for run and deplacement is very good to see!!!

I have just details to finish, before painting this tank, but I don' t find good pictures about the rear deck to stow the crane!!! If someone can help me for this details, i will be very happy

Now, my pics.

Boy ... you sure know how to keep busy Fred... another nice build... did you use spackling compound for the zimmerit? ...nice stuff to work with... great on the chip detail ... dry time is a little slow... and you have to seal it... but still ... a really nice effect :D

Fred,
You have a host of wonderful builds like this Sturmtiger and your Panther in the other thread. Thank you for the pictures! They are of really high quality as well and show off your hard work to great detail. Keep them coming please along with build reports if you have done so. Alpha and I are in complete agreement, a super nice build.
regards,
Painless

Love this. It is making me contemplate a build from my Taigen metal suspension hull. I would have to scratch the rest. I would love to see your elevation mechanisms for the big gun. I do not think these had recoil, but could be wrong.

For the elevation mechanism, It is the original system of Matorro.

If you want, I can do few pictures?

The Sturmtiger has not recoil, because it' s not shell, but It is a rocket.
