Hey Canned  glad you like it... no reason why you shouldn't... as I know you are passionate about these babies ....your collection proves it.. and your modifications as well...you have a keen eye when it comes to putting one of these together...and don't struggle with it as I did... I'm just glad I did something that meets with your approval

Thanks again Canned ;)

Thanks for posting the details of how you made the antenna Alfa. A great idea and very neat. I am going to have to copy that for my Sherman.

No Problemo cupo teao :D ....Can't beat the price lol....not to mention it boosted my signal ...haven't tested total distance yet... but she functions where she couldn't before...seems my metal hull did insulate the signal from the internal antenna's I had made

Early yesterday... I got a friendly note from a SHERMANOLOGIST ;) ....He informed me that there were some flaws with the tail end of my Valerie ..not being a SHERMANOLOGIST myself....I at first did not know what he was speaking of ...early this morning it dawned on me how correct he was...here is the new improved Valerie photos

It took a couple of hours...and a retexturing of the surface.. and touch up ;)

Can you all tell what was corrected ? :D

P.s there was no cheating... no heavy fillers putties the hull is still all metal :D

Not to worry Canned ... I saw them... just didn't have time to reply .... it's the flamer :D ....so you're going to build it? ALRIGHT! that's outstanding!
You should have left them here... I am more than proud to share the space with a more than competent builder like yourself :D

I was going to leave those on Canned... but when I compared the HENG LONG tools I'm going to use they were just a tad too beefy ...as I did think about drilling them and putting some hold down straps on them....but they dwarfed the handles on the tools... so since I was going to re texture the surface .. did away with them I'll probably make new ones when the time comes.... I just have to figure how to do it so they don't break off
the tank is so heavy ... than just a finger touch will cause something to snap.. so it'll take a little bit of thought before I make the attempt

Thanks scalawag... took a couple of weeks to figure out the design ... then how to execute them...being the stainless of the stock antenna cannot be soldered I had to figure out a way to not use the original mount... and still come out with a "live" antenna
Luckily I had some brass stock that I could jam into the coil of the pre made antenna...and cap the top of the coil as well... soldered a flexible wire inside... then put the decorative tubes on .... she works like a charm :D

Thanks again for the kind words Scalawag
