Faces to Names

Post by BeeKay »

I would just like to say that it was nice to put another face to a name at the Washington Model Club last night. Oz (Tony) and myself welcomed John (Mackem) to our meeting and were joined again by Chris & Alex (Grompix & Panzershrek) There were 4 Tigers & a Leo on display and we had two other club members who haven't joined the forum yet but fully intend to when they get their figers out. I'm sure Tony will agree it will be a great help in future to have the experience of both Chris & John on hand to advise with the internals as we are both novices to the RC game and maybe we can return the favour with help and advice, especially to Alex with the external finish.

Another good night where the 3 hours passed too quickly.

nce again thanks for coming guys and please come back whenever you can make it.

Cheers - Brian

Yes it was great to meet Alex and John for  the first time. Many thanks for putting up with us Brian & Tony. I hope the other model-makers were not too put out with all the maybach engine noises and gunfire! Its great to meet and talk to like-minded people and exchange ideas. I'm certainly benefitting enormously from the wealth of model-making experience you guys have. It will be a pleasure to pass on any bits of information I can on the RC side of things.

As Brian says, a great night all round.

Thanks again guys.

Cheers
Chris ;D

Hi lads,

Thursday was indeed an excellent night and I will definitely be attending on a fortnightly basis from now on.
Beekays (Brian) winter tiger 1 was stunning, grompix (Chris) full option tam tiger was amazing, Oz (Tony) was doing
some extreme detail on a wsn Tiger1 which is going to be another stunner  and panzershreck (Alex) brought along
a vs 1:24 Tiger 1 which was quite a surprise to us all. I took along my HE to HL Leo 2 that climbed the 3" step across
the doorway to the club without any problem.  ;D

Many thanks to everyone at the club for the warm welcome
John

PS: Shouldn't it be called the 'Wasington Tiget 1 Club' ?  ;) ;D ;D ;D

Like I said in my opening post, we have other members at the club who have not joined this forum "yet" - there are actuall four other members who were all there on Thursday who have 1/16 RC tanks ranging from HL Tigers & Pershing, WSN T35/85 and Tamiya full option Leo and Jagdpanther. They know who they are Joe L, Joe K, Big Keith & Little Keith. Get them signed up and we could have the biggest local meet of 1/16 scale tanks on a regular basis from this forum. Any other members in the North East region will made most welcome on a Thursday night.
