I was going to paint another HL Sergeant up but Sassgrunt saved me running the risk of creating yet another Crazy Joe. ;o) Eddy, that is a fantastic tip for getting the springs on the next Loader's hatch I have to deal with. 60th Day: My turret from Forgebear came in the mail today. Very nicely packed, Thank you, Dave! This weekend should be very productive. This afternoon, I worked on detailing the Stowage again. I did the five personal packs and am pleased with the way that they turned out. More to follow since you can teach an old dog new tricks. Well, me anyway. Pics:

I'm waiting for a Mato Turret I purchased from our own ForgeBear. See if you can guess why? ;o) I already have my new Tank Commander, a gift from Sassgrunt. Thank you for the kind words of encouragement, all. I want to move on and get this Grrrl finished and running around the lawn, pot-shotting Panzers. I have my next two Builds lined up in my mind and want to get started on them, as well as redo Crazy Joe's M4A1.

I gave this some thought... what I'm thinking is... you are going to send that turret you detailed to some waiting grubby hands in Hawaii.. and replace it with the Mato you ordered

Then again... it could just be wishful thinking

*chuckles* You reminded me I need to get some brass bar stock to make a rail to hang packs on like Phil did with his excellent build. The illustration I found of the Sherman with that add-on had it on the Loader's side of the turret so I will put it there. (from 'The M4 Sherman at War\Zaloga S.' Military Book Club) No, I didn't need the Mato turret so I could give away my HL one. ;o) If no one remembers, You'll see this weekend. It's supposed to snow like the dickens here so it will be a good weekend to try to wrap things up, build wise. One nice thing about the Mato turret is that I will have a (or should) good working gun for Crazy Joe's M4A1.

Man!, you guys are too much. ;o) Thanks for that unforgettable mental image, Pale. Alpha, yeah, the 76mm on Joe's M4A1 has been problematical since day one. This new turret will solve a couple of issues, both on Joe's Sherman and the new M4A3. Cody, indeed, Dave at Forgebear knows how to ship stuff right!
