Good Morning,
Pale, thank you very much, Sir. ;o) Alpha really is kind and extremely helpful in all forms. We are a community and helping out the next guy to need something is built into us like a servo in one of our tanks. *chuckles* I'll scan and email or make paper copies of the .50 cal ammo instruction sheet for any who would like one. The rounds are beautiful and will be a sweet addition to any american build. (Including Crazy Joe's M4A1 coming up here soon) Doc, building these crates out of wood makes perfect sense. The next time that the Mate is in Starbucks getting a beverage, I'll get a few wooden stirrers and save my plastistruct for other things.
regards,
Painless

59th Day: Nothing in the mail today. I cannot complete the turret until my last bit arrives so it will be a call to the Post Office tomorrow to see if they are sitting on it like they were the tank. Tonight I primed and painted the stowage bits that I had tried on the tank previously today. Only so much will fit so I did some testing. Large crates are Sand\Wood. Ration Crates are Medium Green and the Jerry Cans are the ever popular O.D. The other bits, ammo cans, helmets and such remain their various colors since that is how it was in wartime on a vehicle that received replacement gear piecemeal from shipments at differing times. Good Morning, Gentlemen,
I'm waiting for a Mato Turret I purchased from our own ForgeBear. See if you can guess why? ;o) I already have my new Tank Commander, a gift from Sassgrunt. Thank you for the kind words of encouragement, all. I want to move on and get this Grrrl finished and running around the lawn, pot-shotting Panzers. I have my next two Builds lined up in my mind and want to get started on them, as well as redo Crazy Joe's M4A1.
regards,
Painless

Good Morning, Doc,
Indeed, Mike (Sassgrunt) is Aces in my book. Thank you for the kind words. Hoping to get the turret in the mail today and move on with painting and final assemblies.

Let me jump in here and tell you that the figure I sent Painless is an already built-and-painted one that came with the metal Forces of Valor M4A3 display tank. Unlike the artisans on this board, I couldn't figure-paint my way out of a paper bag. I have seen it being sold separately for $45 here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-16-scale-WWII ... 2333fd6cd2

The same seller also sells the other two tank-rider figures that come with the tank, for a little bit cheaper. -Mike

Very nice built! It's pleasure to see all in progress.
As for commanders hatch springs... I thougt one day that good solution for theese springs could be springs from watchband spring bar pins. There are nice springs in theese bar pins that could match the 1:16 scale...
