Hi everyone
Hi everyone
Just a quick hi and a few words about me. I am an ex train manager for FGW, I say ex but not officially till 31st Jan. i'm takin early retirement and looking to go self employed. I'm starting up. Small food delivery and mobile snack business but also getting into party entertainment for children and corporate team-building, and big boys toys parties.
I'm an experienced modeller with my interests being in all aspects. I own several rc warships in large scales as well as fully dynamic diving subs. I also build and until recently flew rc planes but am getting out of that side of things as my reflexes are starting to cost me money. I have a number of 1:10 scale rc cars which i'm planning to use in said business above, offering a fully inclusive deal of supervised racing with prizes under marquee tenting if required.
Also I own an extensive collection of airsoft weapons which again I intend to use for my business plans in the same format as the rc cars.
I own only 1 rc tank, the venerable Tamiya M4 standard set up circa 15 years old. However, in line with the above i'd like to include rc tank battles in my business plans, and whilst trawling the net I came across this excellent site and will be picking your much more knowledgeable brains for help and advice.
Other interests not model related are photography, Astronomy and Astrophotography, and a really sad and stupid lifelong love of Sunderland football club, so i'm well aware of pain and heartache.
Phew nuff said, thanks for reading and really pleased to have found you.

Hi Jfox61.
Welcome to the forum.
Tanks are better than model aeroplanes, the big advantage, any mistakes doesn't require a plastic bag to salvage the wreckage.
