Taigen Tiger 1

Post by thunderbolt »

Finished it a while ago but have only got around to sorting out some pictures
Fitted bearings on the ideler wheels and replaced the road wheels with Asiatam metal wheels with bearings. Metal tracks, metal turret, metal barrel as standard,Asiatam recoil to the gun.
Clarke pcb controller and upgraded the speaker.
Fitted on board charger so I don't have to lift the hull to recharge the battery, fitted a threaded bar across the hull to pull the sides level as they bow out with the Asiatam metal hull thats in there, this makes the upper hull fit a lot better to the lower.
I didn't go down the super detail route even though it's 1/16 as its a runner and I'd end up wrecking or loosing the small bits when running it.
Really must redo the tracks though as they don't look right, might try a oil wash or something.
and I must try and get something to replace the terrible hoses from the rear filters

Good Evening,
I love early Tiger 1's and there is a lot to love about yours. Paint is beautiful and that includes the tracks. Taigen has really cleaned up the HL molds and brought their Tiger several steps closer to what Tamiya does. Enjoy and have fun with that brilliant tank.
regards,
Painless
