prone figures

Post by jarndice »

When I was in the service when I could I would always lie down to fire a rifle or machine gun, it gave stability to the weapon that any unsupported stance could not and yet finding such a figure in 1/16 is extremely rare, why? shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

hello

you are right, not too many different figures in 'action' poses in 1:16, almost all of them are foot standing and with any or little sense of movement. i think it's a think of potential market, the static modellers prefer the 1:35 scale for space use...

in my 'club', we are making a big diorama, >40m2, using tanks, vehicles, arty and figures in 1:16 and 1:18 scales. In order to use figures for the MGs, flaks, mortars... we have been forced to the 21st action figures, because the verlinden, tamiya or dragon ones in 1:16 are almost statics.

The only 1/16 in prone position we have are these:

for the rest, we then resorted to use these:

we have also a lot of the Dragon 'semi' action figures, which are expensive now, but none in prone position.

best regards
