If you could have anything resin cast...

Post by dgsselkirk »

Greetings All!

I have a question for everybody, if you could have anything that isn't out there already resin cast in 1/16th scale what would it be? I am looking for projects. It can be weapons, turret variants, figures, what ever you would like. If you have several items list them in order of preference please.

Two lucky participants may get a prototype of thier wish item! :D

Firefly parts - square loader's hatch; hull mg plug; British fire extinguishers; and the turret extension on the rear. Also, an M4A4 engine deck, which would allow you to cut away and replace that area from a Tamiya or Heng Long Sherman. Also a British all-round-vision cupola. Until some manufacturer comes out with a proper British tank; any of these things would go a long way to converting Shermans to something not-so-American.

I would like to see a 1/16th scale FN 7.62 GPMG with pintle for the Leo2s. One with a butt and one with the spade grips...

Palepainter, your suggestion for a skeleton in our scale got me to thinking. I believe that the old MPC Pirates of the Caribbean series of plastic models was right around 1/16 scale, but I haven't seen any for many years....well, any for sale at a reasonable price, anyway. I did find a metal one by SOL models, (who normally makes things in resin - too bad they don't make this one that way; it would be a lot cheaper). http://www.ebay.com/itm/SOL-Model-SM001 ... 2c74072c65

That would be a great start. As you mentioned, resin would be much better. But that is a great option. Thanks for sharing.

I built all of those damn POC models when I was a kid....If I only knew. :)
