Carry Case idea

Post by Herr Fritz »

I knew that carrying mien Tiger around would be ..well...tricky and awkward, with
Metal tracks and the motors the lower hull is the heaviest part of the tank.

I came across this case one day while shopping with my Girl Friend
its pretty old and I have not looked into it yet...but I think it may be WWI or
very early WWII...what country who knows? ...its thin wood with metal sheets and thicker metal trim etc
with the older more greenish brown US army look than the later OD tone.

There is a 12" 2X4 screwed to the base of the case with two bolts inserted,
then two holes where made in the tank's hull, after its lowered into the block
two nuts are hand tightened down - then the upper hull is set into place...a piece
of foam on the inner lid keeps the upper hull firmly in place.

Its a very firm setting for everything inside and good enough for any type of
transport.

Hope you like it!

Thanks Dude!

I admit the case alone is kinda heavy ...and with the Tank, batteries and Transmitter
its not lite one bit but it works well. I had to say no to the charger going in there,
Its a dual Nicad model ...a bit on the heavy side 8O

Hi Herr Fritz,
................Nice case... it looks 'Period' for the WW2 era.....
Just make sure that the 'Handle' is up to the weight.... It would be a disaster if the handle parted company from the case.. :O

Thanks I will look into that for sure....Though everything is so tight and solid inside it would not
hurt much inside at all.
