Just to say hello to all you other R/C enthusiasts wish you all a merry Christmas.
I am looking for advice on a misfiring heng long tiger 1.
I found this site and hoped someone might be able to help.
Tank is only 4-6 weeks old and it seems to be reluctant to shoot the BB's. When it does fire then 3 or 4 will dribble out. Everything else seems ok firing action and recoil action working fine. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP
Hello
Re: Hello
Hello Sooty... the symptoms you describe .... sounds like a slipped inner barrel ... sometimes during shipping or what not.. the inner brass or aluminum barrel works loose then when you shoot it a few times it will be fine ...until it separates from the rubber "hop up" causing what is happening in your tank now...the way to check if this is the problem is to get a jewelers screwdriver.. or a piece of sprue... and push the inner barrel from the front of the tank... slowly and gently as it has to reseat in the Hop up
then test fire it again
That's the easy way... the tedious way comes next... if it shoots the same... you will have to remove the turret and disassemble it ...remove the mantlet and gun barrel.. to expose the inner barrel...look inside the firing mech... check if there is damage to the rubber....if it is damaged... you need another mech... as I don't think they sell that part separately .... unless you have an airsoft shop near by to which you might find a suitable replacement... the rubber for the tanks are a little shorter... so trimming with a sharp knife will be needed
Next thing to do is shine a light through the barrel and make sure there are no obstructions...some barrels have a hole to secure them... and the plastic piece that goes into the hole extends past ...protruding into the barrel...interrupting the flight of the bb....if it is clear... slide the barrel into the rubber and re affix the mantlet test the gun again... do the hook ups but don't reassemble the tank ...if it works... reassemble the tank lol... if it doesn't there is a good chance the mech is blown..and you will have to replace it
Hope this helps
Good luck

Re: Hello
Hallo Sooty, Not perhaps the best introduction to your new hobby, First if you live in the United Kingdom and you purchased the Tank from a dealer, you were sold a product that is not fit for purpose and you have the right to claim a full refund plus any out of pocket expenses, Second, please do tell us where you bought the Tank and if you send it back we would like to know how you were treated, If you have not already done so look at the Blacklist and hope your dealer is not on it, then look at the Recommended dealers list and breathe a sigh of relief if your dealer is there, But whatever happens please do keep us informed, I am sorry it started this way but do carry out the simple tests that ALPHA suggested but I would caution against taking the Turret apart unless you are confident you can easily fix it, because the Vendor may try to suggest you caused the failure when you tampered with it and deny any blame. Good luck. shaun
I think I am about to upset someone
