Re: Nashorn
It's kind of ironic... as I just made a thread about frustrating videos on YOUTUBE... but I also have to admit... because your 9 second video has purpose here.. it does make a difference...
The timing of the recoil is perfect ...don't mess with it

Quick update. Fine tuned my recoil and it is now nice and powerful, also scratch built a periscope:
MichaelC
As well as some variety of ammos in the open rack - Pzgr 39/43, Pzgr 40/43 and Gr 39 HE.
Also scratch build a barrel travel mount but no pics. You can kinda see it on the next one, which is the mounting of the Hammerhead/Apple:
The mount is completely magnetic on a pipe so I can remove it entirely when not in battle. I had embedded a magnet on the floor for the mount point but as it turn out I don't even need it expose to work so I might fill and paint over it completely:
Now it is ready to do battle..........MichaelC

what a job....................well done !
Re: Nashorn
This is looking great Michael. I like the functionality which you have achieved whilst still retaining a high level of detail
.

Nice model
Just one thing, the ammo looks like it's for the 8.8 cm KwK 36 not the 8.8 cm KwK 43 that the Nashorn had.
In the pic below No.7 is for the KwK 36 and no.8 the KwK 43

Re: Nashorn
Woz, you got me there........ I couldn't find any Kwk 43 ammo so I have to take the Hussar Kwk 36 and scratch build and extend the casing so it has the right length but not the tapering of the Kwk 43.
Funny enough I just got some empty .22 rifle shell casing from a local tanker which does have the tapering so I might revisit constructing the Kwk 43 again.......
