Here suffering from a flare up of TCS....and feeling a little sorry for myself .... I said hell with the TCS and pushed on.... decided to do some relatively easy work on my KV
first prepping the parts.... for the creation of my "hidden" antenna
using plain old copper tubing... yes. the kind used in plumbing...I fabricated the necessary parts
the loom of black wire is the antenna from a scrapped helicopter... the brass tube is your standard hobby shop available stock
No those are not pennies lol.... but flattened out tubing cut into proper sized end plugs
I soldered everything together using a 100 watt soldering iron ...this is the end result ... after five hours
did a little file work to clean up the details ....I wasn't going to mount it...as my hand was starting to hurt again... but once again said hell with it... as I wanted to make sure the assembly would have enough clearance for the turret
The slightly larger barrel maintenance kit had lots of clearance...and in my eyes... looks a lot better than the tiny stock piece....
I didn't do the internal hook up yet...but that should only take a few minutes
