Well the tank bug has bitten me again ! Went and bought the Panther an Hour ago, it was a toss up between a Sherman and the Panther, Panther won because it was almost $100 cheaper then the Sherman, both had the identical metal upgrades plus the Panther is already painted.Now biting the fingernails until it arrives..

just to let you know that you have bought a "Pantiger" Front hull needs modded.

Yes thats HL's first attempt at a Panther. The put a resized Panther top on a Tiger lower hull.

Good Morning,
A lot can be done with your Pantiger. There is a thread where a tanker here turned one into a Panther A or D (can't remember) with a fair amount of work. Whatever you decide to do, enjoy your new tank, Diesel. If it has the upgraded electronics in it, it will be a good runner with that Tiger lower hull.

Hi Diesel,
+1 on what Woz and doc larsson said..... ....Its a 'PanTiger' .......a Complete Tiger 1 hull with a Panther Hull ' S-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d' to fit....Hence the flipped out second angle on the front glacis plate.....
Unfortunately these are now rather 'Old Stock' but if the electronics have been upgraded and the gearboxes are now metal, it should be OK....

Sorry if we have given you some rather 'Bad News'.....and if you are now 'Not So Sure' about buying it ..... (Instead of the Sherman which is a 'New' product from Heng Long) ...
..... Since Heng Long now do make a more accurate Panther .......Then please let 'the Forum' have a look at the advert and we can see if you have grounds to get a discount from the seller.

Please can I ask what it actually says inside the 'Iron Cross' that is on the side of the 'TAIPANTHER'.....

..............and I have to say that I am fascinated to see what figure you plan to mount in the rather unusual looking ' 2 Wheel Armoured Pill-Box' that you have in the road behind the rear of the white car in the photo ? ......Is it remote controlled and does it have a large gun mounted on the other side like an assault gun or a tank destroyer ?..

There are three characters in the Kanji..the first is KURO (black) the second MORI (forest) the third.. MINE (pronounced MIN ..long "A" )(peak)
so BLACK FOREST PEAK

The two wheeled vehicle in that background... is unarmed... powered by the one crewman who is taking the pictures and is used for storage transport and disposal of used ordinance
