TK22 Panther board help

I am having a problem getting all functions on my HL Panther to work with the TK22 board. Sounds, motors, turret rotation, smoke, front light and machine gun work great. barrel elevation is working occasionally but I think more adjustment will work this out. My problem is the recoil/flash. When I push the left stick up all the way, barrel firing sounds go off but no recoil/flash. If I move the left stick up slightly and left slightly, the elevation kicks in(sometimes) and moving it a little more at the angle recoils the barrel, but no flash. Everything worked perfectly before I removed the RX18 board. There are 3 sets of wires coming out of the turret top, a 5 pin with a 2 pin together and a 3 pin. The 5 pin goes into the CN3 plug but where does the 2 pin attached to it and the 3 pin plug go? I have no clue at this point. I hope someone can give me some help. Thanks in advance.

Are you using High Intensity flash unit and IR ? Did you change any of the wiring in the turret from HL ?

No changes to any wiring in the turret. Stock HL flash unit and I have the HL IR apple unit. Thanks.

Okay, forget about clark for the moment, if this is stock HL wiring, then basically what you have are:

5 PIN - IR Apple (3) and IR emitter (2)
2 PIN - Trigger for the recoil
3 PIN - Elevation and the recoil motor (sharing Pos+)

If this is the case which I believe so, the 3 PIN should plug into another 3 PIN somewhere in the upper hull. The 5 PIN should actually be plug into CN2 (But you will need some rewiring more on that later) and the 2 PIN should plug into PIN 1/2 of CN3. So if you follow this and hook up the RX-18 everything should work, correct ?

If that's the case, you should do the same on the clark board CN2/CN3 exactly the same as you would with the RX-18. Somehow you seem to have gotten CN2/CN3 confused between RX-18 and Clark when they have the same PIN configuration. Since clark uses a separate connector for the IR emitter, your 5 PIN connector going into CN2 is really only using the first 3 pins. You will have to unsolder your IR emitter and connect it to the Clark board with the extra small connector to J1 on the clark.

Does this make sense ?

Set up as you suggested. Barrel elavation is fine now. The 2 pin is in CN3 posts 1&2. No flash and inconsitent recoil. All other functions work fine. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Jack, did you re-wire for the flash ? Until you do that you won't get flash from the standard HL flash unit. You also need the extra small connector for J3, same as J1 for the IR.

As to the recoil, my bad.....It should have been in CN3 on the clark PIN 4/5, not PIN 1/2. So I guess I was wrong. The CN3 configuration is not the same between clark and RX-18. This should fix your recoil.
