Tiger 1 front fenders
I know Aber make photo etch front fenders for the Tiger 1 and I know where to get hold of them BUT Voyager make them too and I have no idea where I can find them in the UK, someone must sell them in Britain, Welsh Dragon do not neither does Tankforce1 or Dave Forgebear, White ensign do sell some voyager parts but not the fenders. shaun

Good Morning,
Do any of the German sites have them available? A little more in shipping if they do. Good Luck.
regards,
Painless

Re: Tiger 1 front fenders
Painless my hero, I hope all is well with you, might I suggest you ensure you are near a box of tissues, When I joined the service they first taught me my trade, ( I was paid to step out of serviceable aircraft in flight ) then offered other ways of making money ( as if soldiers are not paid enough)such as learning languages, within six months I was fluent in Russian and German and then discovered you only get paid for one! My sister works for the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland as an interpreter speaking three languages and getting paid for each one!!! anyway, two or three years ago I became aware of the wonders and delights to be found on German military model websites and registered and logged on, initially just to look round, then one day I logged on to make a purchase and was told my password was not recognised, Oh the rude words, why even for an ex para it was strong stuff. I contacted the site by E-Mail and explained the problem, all was ok though, I was told it must be my fault and to reregister? Not a chance. Earlier this year I needed decals for both my Panzer 4 and my Tiger 1 so I spent what seemed like hours trying to register with Peddinghaus, finally I gave up and did what I should have done in the first place, I got both Archers and Peddinghaus decals from Steve at Welsh Dragon, This whole sorry episode has taught me to avoid joining German websites but to just look too see what is out there and then buy from anywhere else in the world. I received two well packed parcels from Australia on Saturday no problems. So thank you for the good idea but life is too short for this old man. Take care sir. shaun

Good Morning,
*Salutes* I had no idea you had such a checkered past. Fluent in German and still issues with those sites? I apologise for even bringing it up. I too love the Aussie site but as with Merry Olde England, the shipping costs for anything heavy puts a round right through my wallet. I miss Phil. Take care of yourself, my Friend.
warm regards,
Painless

Re: Tiger 1 front fenders
I first posted news of the Voyager PE upgrades on this site back in July:
http://www.rctankwarfare.co.uk/forums/v ... 82&t=11263
Here's a list from their website:
16
PE16001
1/16 WWII German Clamps & Clasp early type Hold!! 2009-7-10
16
PE16002
1/16 WWII German Clamps & Clasp late type Hold!! 2009-7-10
16
PE16003
WWII German King Tiger (Hensehel Turret)Basic (FOR TRUMPETER/TAMIYA) Hold!! 2012-11-13
16
PE16004
WWII German King Tiger (Hensehel Turret) grills (FOR TRUMPETER) Hold!! 2012-11-13
16
PE16007
WWII German King Tiger Fenders(early type) (FOR TRUMPETER) Hold!! 2012-11-13
16
PE16009
WWII German Tiger I MID Production Basic (For TRUMPETER) Hold!! 2013-6-25
16
PE16011
WWII German Tiger I Fenders (For TRUMPETER) Hold!! 2013-6-25
I have highlighted the Tiger 1 parts in bold to distinguish them from the Tiger II parts.
As you can see they have release dates which suggest they have already been released - but no prices (whatever 'Hold!' means.)
Something else which is a bit odd - some of the sets originally listed have disappeared. For example PE16010 were the side skirts. PE16012 were, I believe, the exhaust shields.
I have been checking regularly since and have not found them available from any regular site anywhere. I have seen some pop up then disappear on ebay, usually from far eastern sellers. e.g.
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PE16010-1-16- ... 6240478%26
This does seem to prove that they exist!

Re: Tiger 1 front fenders
OK, here's the fender set from a Chinese site:
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product ... 07152.html
Shipping seems remarkably cheap too (even if it's slow)!
I have to say that I have ordered 1/16 tank parts from all over the place - including China, Japan, Singapore, Germany, New Zealand as well as closer to home (I'm a Brit) and I have not had any problems. Am I just a lucky so-and-so?

TFTM, What an outstanding person you are, I have no problem ordering from abroad as long as I am not about to be ripped off, as I said to Painless I received two parcels from Australia on Saturday no worries ( my God their slang is catching) I await the arrival of the postman/woman some time in the next month, boats from China being famously slow. thank you for your help. shaun
