New to RC Tanks
New to RC Tanks
Hi everybody, I am new to this hobby, I just bought a 1/16 scale Heng Long Tiger 1 on ebay, I am looking forward to doing the hop-ups myself, so I will need a lot of advice from the experts from this forum, I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks

If the Tiger is brand new... very rarely will it be in need of a upgrade...if it is the deluxe model.. even less.. electronically or mechanically....
Heng Longs can use most improvement on the "cosmetic" or aesthetics ... my old Tiger had a lot of tools molded in place... I left them as I didn't want to disturb the hull integrity... I think the new ones have them separate so cosmetically... easy to deal with
The Tiger is a very popular model... you should have fun detailing it... as there are many tips and tricks left here by others
ENJOY ....& WELCOME

Re: New to RC Tanks
Well blow me down yet another Tiger 1, Welcome to the Forum IHARDNOVA, First the health and safety warning, This hobby WILL damage your sanity and your bank balance, next a more serious warning, you will upgrade your tank and you will buy more tanks, scroll down to the VENDORS site and you will find the BLACKLISTED entries, I urge you to give all of these people a very wide berth, some of the names will be known to you, well they are to us but that is because we have been cheated by them, AVOID!!! You will fortunately find next to them the RECOMMENDED dealers, now I will not say they walk on water but they are helpful, fair, and their products are reasonably priced, we buy from them and for good reason, I suggest you do, I hope you enjoy this direct path to the funny farm, try not to take it too seriously, finally any questions, then ASK. shaun
I think I am about to upset someone
