a couple of months ago, I have being toying with the idea of doing a refurbishment of the original Tamiya
King Tiger that I brought ages ago.
It has sat un-loved in my model work space for ages, but after finding this forum, a spark of intrest was rekindled
and I dug it out, charged up some batteries, and to my surpries she still ran.
There was of course some problems,
1) The steering was a bit eratic (to say the least), I began to remember that I always had a struggle trying to get the clutch system set up.
2) The track tension was all to pot, and trying to adjust that caused a few, shall we say, intresting verbs.
3) The wheels wobbled about like a bowl of jelly.
It was at this point that I decided to strip her all down, and try and improve and update her ( And try and keep the price down).
Anyhow, here's a few pics to show where i'm starting from.
First up, the original before I started to strip her down.
