My sound of new elmod is just too weak. If your indoors and have close neighbors is ok. But if your outdoors in a wooded location with 3 or more other tanks forget it. Play it in a Tamiya speaker in still to soft.

Re: Sound
Haven't an ElMod myself but I would suggest checking all the wiring i.e. volume control, speaker lead.
Also guessing the volume control is a form of variable resistor, so if you've got a resisor reader see if that the resistance varies with when you turn volume control.
If all that checks out it maybe it is a faulty sound blaster card.
