US WWII Truck

Post by RKRC »

My take on a ww2 truck, can't take credit for having built this myself though. It was bought without electricity from a German.

The base car is a JJRC, with 3d printed silicone tires and plastic rims, after the ww2 model, which are fitted with real brass bolts.
3d printed driver.
3d printed jerrycans with holder
Home-sewn cover, various things on the back and various Stickers.

4-channel transmitter/receiver from which front and rear lights are controlled.

I think it is 1/18, which is just a bit small, but it seemed to fit

Nice :)

Someone must do the correct GMC cab or front end for this truck?

Easier to make a whole new truck than try to force fit a CCKW cab on the WPL and have it look right.

RKRC: you do wonders with stowage, and the wheels and tires deserve a salute. At least your truck is close to the real WWII "Deuce and a Half" 6X6. I have seen some Deuce and a Half Replicas here on RCTW, but I would guess that they are scratch built or perhaps from 3D printing.
