Motion RC
Did a quick search on the forum and saw that some US members use motion rc over there and was just wondering if anyone has used Motion RC in Europe or the UK as they seem to be very cheap and take the VAT off for UK customers with free shipping?
Re: Motion RC
Someone on your side will surely chime in. From my experience here in the states dealing with their stateside service and supply I can say they have been Rock Solid. Their pricing here is going market which means it's good. You could search and get less expensive on Ebay but Motion is fair. They don't overcharge which is key. I've bought 4 tanks from them so far without issue.
Over here their bonus is they offer free shipping for anything over $100. which is every tank they offer. This is important to all of us of course, but a key point for me because while Toucan may sometimes offer lower prices, they then tack on random shipping charges even from their continental U.S. warehouses.
Their customer support is responsive and good as well.
They also own the Hobbysquawk forum which is active especially in their RCTank section.
I also promote and support Forgebear tanks. Dave and Julie do a great job, are very responsive and since they're an intimate well run operation they will handle specific requests and queries.
Best luck,
Chef

Yes. They have a warehouse in Holland. Funny this should come up, as I have just opened my delivery from them. Just bought a Torro Tiger from them, for my birthday. They are cheap. However. I got stung with import duty by FedEx, and despite advertising free delivery to Britain, our little part, namely the Cowel Peninsular, incurred an additional charge. They were quick. Ordered Sunday, delivered today. I only used them because they had what I wanted in stock. Would I use them again, maybe, maybe not. It will depend on what I want. I’m not complaining as I took the choice to use them, and I took the choice. This is just my experience. I vouch for Forgebear also.

They are great if you live in the US for sure. Shipping charges to Canada though are not very transparent( bizarre brokerage options that I have never seen elsewhere) to say the least and give the Germans a run for the money in cost. At least they use FedEx and USPS and not UPS like AAF used to Also with the USD being so strong against the CAD I find RCTank.de is actually quite a bit cheaper for Torro/Taigen tanks once you ask Dominique to remove the 19% VAT. Either way on a tank I get hammered for brokerage fees and taxes importing to our socialist paradise
