Hi guys, a friend has this board and is struggling with it a bit. After a while, the board has no sound at all. He tried with several speakers, several potentiometers and a couple of SD cards and always he has the same result, no sound at all. All the rest of the functioncs work completelly fine.
Do you have any idea?
I had one IBU 2 too, loved it, it was my first entry board back in the day, but long time since then, I dont have it anymore and Im a bit rusty here... So if you have another idea... Maybe the SD card has to be formatted in a specific way?
IBU 2 Pro, no sound.

Ok, fixed. The problem was my colleague formatted the SD card.
I formatted it in the propper way and now it works. Problem solved

Rad how did you go about formatting the sd card properly? I've a spare IBU2 and it also has no sound. I was going to tinker with the SD card but wanted to do it right.

Re: IBU 2 Pro, no sound.
Hi Carl,
This IBU 2 pro belongs to a friend, at the beginning it had sound, and then after a while he sent it to me to fix it along a radio and some other stuff.
After some head scratching, I have read in the IBU manual that you should not format the SD card. I asked him and he confessed me he formated it. (So when replacing sounds, just delete and replace the files, dont format the SD card!)
Then, following theclues, I found this, that should fix any problem:
http://www.rctankelectronics.com/upload ... 2_use..pdf
But I did not do it like that. Instead I, (talking from memory, with the computer in Spanish and roughly translating to englisn now) using windows 10, plugged the SD card in the computer, then I did right click on the "Computer" icon, then administrate, and then in the there is an option to manage disc drives. I deleted the SD card one, and then I created it again, giving it a FAT format.
Then I put the sound files and the .ini file back, and it worked. Sorry if the explanation is confusing, but I am talking from memory, when I did it at home in my computer in spanish, and now I am writting with a german computer with windows 7, so quite complicated to give you the exact steps.
If it is not clear for you, I can take some screenshots of my computer tonight.
