I try it
Plaese excuse my rusty english.
The Villa-Perosa light machine gun was a developed at a plane weapon by the italians.
It was a twin machine gun in 9 mm short calibre an has a rate of fire from 1500 bullet/min.
The 9 mm short cartridge was to poor to make damage at range.
The Villa-Preosa is more a submachine pistol then a machine gun.
The italian army becomes this weapon und use it in the first world war.
The bigger part of this weapon get rebuild in submachine pistols by get a rifle stock in 1918.
I have build this weapon by use of 2 mm , 1,5 mm polystyrene tubes , fixing pins ,wood and brass nails.

I know that the Swiss submachine pistol "Pistolengewehr W+F 1919" has a rate of fire from 1350 a minute as a single weapon. The twin version of this weapon called "Fliegergewehr W+F 1919" has a rate of fire from 2400 round a minute.Ex_Pat_Tanker wrote: 1500/min x 9mm - That thing must have been absolute murder close up!!

From the "Pistolengewehr W+F 1919" were 92 piece build from 1919-21. From the "Fliegergewehr W+F 1919" were 62 piece build from 1919-21. both weapon use the 7,65 mm Mauser cartridge.
