Achtung! Panzer FLASH und RECOIL finished.

Post by Herr Fritz »

Howdy gang. Well it took a little while to get settled into our new place and get my bench
in shape so now here is my Tigers flash and modified Tamiya recoil unit in full opp.

The circuit board, related goodies and modified barrel elevation motor still need to be
mounted in place on the floor of the turret rather than above so all devices can be accessed
after the top shell is easily removed.

I did the recoil device mod without any extra parts...just shaved off the necessary gears
and added the pull back spring.

Teflon coated wires were definitely needed inside the barrel as the high voltage wires
would arch across them selfs in such a tight space as well when passing through any
metal tubing. Many test blasts so far with no issues so far.

Yes its the crummy HL sound but the 'small sub woofer' speaker is sitting in a slightly larger bass box than what
will be inside the Tiger's hull....not bad huh?

Danke for looking and enjoy!

That's brilliant , I wonder whether that system would fit in the Panzer 1v turret?

Colin.

Thanks Colin, I want to say yes as the some camera unit boards are only about 1.5 X 2 inches in size ( in that rage anyways ) then there is a AA battery or the 3V camera battery. in my case the capacitor is separate from the circuit board so it can be replaced if needed. All in all I have plenty of room in the Tiger Turret. Just be VERY careful! those camera capacitor's can hold up to 600 volts even if laying around for months.
