Hello, after a very lengthy build process I have finally completed my first RC tank, this hobby has certainly got me hooked. Perhaps I'll get an AMX-40 for my next tank.
I was rather disappointed by the lack of French Armour in 1/16 scale, so i went for the second closest thing at the time which was a captured panther tank.
"Dauphine" is a Tamyia Panther G with zimmerit from Atak Model, the decals were made by Peddinghaus.
Here's "Dauphine" next to my father's IDF Sho't Kal

Looks great. Also congrats on finding one of those unicorn Tamiya Panthers. Took me 3 years to find mine. Atak zimmerit looks really good

Very nice. I've seen pics of the real tank, this is the first time I've seen an RC rendition

What an interesting Panther, Champagne! Bravo for your accomplishing the Zimmerit so well. And is that an Olive Drab color, as on US tanks? What paint did you use?
Re: 1/16 Panther G "Dauphine"
I used Mr Hobby C38 Olive Drab (2) Lacquer paint for "Dauphine" it should be the same olive drab found on most US Tanks.Herr Dr. Professor wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2024 10:12 pm What an interesting Panther, Champagne! Initially I planned to paint it in Mr Hobby C12 Olive Drab (1) but that looked too light and more suitable for a Sherman tank.

The Atak zimmerit kits are lovely to work with.
Great job on the Panther!
The Centurion looks to be a Haya version?

Although I am not familiar with the Mr. Hobby paints (except the 500, etc.primers) it may be that Mr. Hobby, like Tamiya, has two OD colors, one somewhat lighter, for WWII US and one aomewhat darker for post-war, pre-NATO US. The darker OD is actually nicer looking.
