looks better than mine does.....very nice....the only "issue" I see is the tow cable hookups, they did not start using the ones on a tamiya kit till 47, in ww2 they used pins with little chains welded to them.....I love the weathering, I am going to try that.

yup, the cables were supose to get slid between the 2 welded on tabs and then the pins were put in place...the rear had double tabs as well. If you look through all the photos of germany 45, none of the m26's had the "hooks" on them

Don't get me wrong, I have a m26 and it doen't look nearly as good as yours. I just love to research these things and that was one things that came out from my research. I made my m26 a 1946 model with the hull parascopes blocked off to make room for the 1000 cfm vent fan that the hull was formed for. The hull has the larger buldge of the post war big vent fan. A lot of people do not know that the tamiya m26 is really a mish mosh of 1950 m26 but with the hull scopes in place, not the 1945.
It gets even more mixed up, the m26 was made in 2 differnt factories and the front cast armor looks different on both as the molds were different from factory to factory and from mold to mold( founddries had more than one mold).

if you look at the lower link, they show the double tabs for the rear tow locations.....like I said , great job on the tank.

I used medical net,it's the same I used for my 1/35º tanks but on 1/16º scale it's perfect for helmets as it is too small for a vehicle
