Hurray king tiger now operational all I need to do now is apply decals as anyone got any good tips because I've seen some and sometimes you still see clear film around the numbers .

hello mate i use some watered down earth pigment over the decal then wipe away so its just a matt finish hows the tank control going ?

Hi mate yes it's all ok now I just need to put numbers on then I will post pics . This is my first build and I have to say the king tiger is my favourite tank .

Another way is to spray a clear coat gloss on the area you are applying the decals too, allow it to dry eg: overnight would be ideal

Apply your decals as per normal. I usually allow 24 hours for them to dry and set.

Then spray a Dull Coat Clear over your decals. Leave to dry.

I might have to try this....I have had no luck with these.

hi ive already weathered my KT using MIG filters and pin washes with some light dry brush work to pull out detail. Would it be possible to pre-cut around numbers and then soak in warm water then apply, that way you remove clear film completely

You could paint the markings using stencils, RCTank.de has a selection of King Tiger stencils.
