Go guys, just a quickie. Does track tension play a role in the tanks ability to drive straight. My taigen tiger pulls to the right and adjusting the trim on the controller does very little. Could it be that I am running different tensions on the left and right tracks that is causing this? It's just started happening and to be quite frank, it's getting on my tits.

Any help appreciated. Phil

If you have uneven numbed of tracks links each side can cause the slight steer. Also could be one of the motors performance is different I've had this on two tanks.

I have the same problem on both my hl tiger and panther, i just drive them a bit slower and it seems to be better

My HL Stug hull has a half track link difference between the sides, so it always drifted until I added a tensioner where I could even them out.

Then I swapped out the stock motors for two 400s and now it drifts to the other side.

did you made the breaking in of the gears? Unless they are the steel ones (i own them and they are silent and without any trace of rims on the gears because they are not cast pieces), all the other type of gears i know of need to be worked on in some dregree, to clean bits and rims. With this you reduce the probability that one of the two gearboxes drags more than the oher, thus the difference in final speed of the two sprockets.

I broke in the gears and also ran the motors separately when I got them to break in the brushes. The motor that is slower also gets warmer, so it could be so binding somewhere. I'm not too concerned, I'll probably be upgrading to steel gears soon enough.
