Hi,

Just thought I should stop by and say hello, even though I'm a member of the UKTC. And no, I'm not upset or even sizeist. I don't even have a 1/6 model!

Peter

1/16 Israeli M50 Sherman 1956
1/16 Egyptian T34 1956
1/8 Captured Panther "Cuckoo"
1/16 Romanian Gepard (unfinished)
1/12 Scammell Pioneer long chassis HRV (unfinished but fully working)
1/16 Walker Bulldog

Oh bugg*r, I've done it now  :-[  I don't usually bother taking pics of my own models, but you might find one or two taken by others on the UKTC site.

Trouble is, I don't have the faintest idea how to upload them. If somebody would be good enough to explain in words of one syllable or less how to go about it I'll see what I can do for you in the garden the next time we have some sun

cheers

Peter

Hi,

Thanks for the instructions. I started a photo session for you this afternoon, but I only managed to get these done before the sky started to leak again.

1/12 scale Scammell Pioneer long cab. The original was bought by the father of a friend of mine many years ago. It was originally the tractor for a tank transporter (hence the long cab), but he took the trailer coupling off, fitted the rear body which was copied from the later Explorer and a home made crane. He used it to start his own heavy recovery business. It was fitted with a 10.3 litre Meadows petrol engine giving over 350 bhp, rather less than 1mpg when towing and a top speed of 27mph.
I last saw it in about 1995 when it was painted blue/white and in very poor condition, but I thought it would look good in green.

The model is built on a much modified King Hauler chassis, it has a further 4:1 reduction gearbox, sounds, working chassis winch & crane and all the lights work. Suspension is front A-bracket, rear walking beams with chain drives. Its very powerful but the tyres don't grip well and it badly needs a diff lock
