Help with Matorro to HengLong conversion

I could use some help with a problem I'm having converting my Matorro Jagdtiger electronics to an RX18 board. I pulled the large Matorro board out of the tank and replaced it with an RX18 board from another tank that works. Everything is hooked up per the RX18 schematic and I'm using a freshly charged 4300 Mah NiMh battery. When the on/of switch is turned on, absolutely nothing happens. I was using the Matorro radio so I thought it might be that so I swapped out a working Heng Long radio and receiver board into the Jagdtiger. With the radio on, turning the on/of switch does nothing still. No light, nothing. I'm at a loss as what's wrong. Prior to doing the swap, the Jagdtiger with Matorro electronics would start up, barrel move, sound great, but as soon as I moved the tank forward or back, it shut off. Then nothing! Any ideas would be a huge help. Thanks.

Hmmm strange one, are you still using the mato controller? I know from experience that mato handsets will not fire up Heng longs rx18 even though the crystals fit.

ok so lets play it back here.
All the mattoro boards and reciever board have been removed?
The batteries are charged and fresh?
There are no cuts in any of the wires?
Then
we add the HL RX18, seat all the plugs in the correct socket? double check this because that is critical.
the HL reciever board is added in with the same crystal as the TX?
we have turned the tank on and started it and nothing happens?

sorry I am not trying to do anything here but cover your steps

Yes, I have done the steps you list. Last night, I swapped out everything and put in a DBCR2 to try that. No lights, nothing on the turret functions at all. The tracks run in both directions and the sound is so low you can barely hear it! Once I put the Matorro gear back in, nothing at all. Same response when I put the Heng long RX18 and receiver/transmitter back in. Could it possibly be the on/off switch is not making good contact? Thanks for all the help!

To check the on off switch simply bridge it out with a screwdriver unless you have a continuity tester.

Hi
You need a heng long controller and
A heng long reciever board.

The motto controller only works with the
Matto boards, it's the same with heng feng.

Thanks guys for the help. I installed a HL on/off switch, HL RX18 board and HL receiver and radio. Everything on the lower half works great. Unfortunately, the HL 8 pin connector doesn't work with the upper hull. The Matorro 8 pin connector is wired differently. I have contacted Nathan at RC tanks of OKC who I bought it from and he is looking at what I need to get the top hull working. Once that is figured out,. it should work fine. Thanks again for the help.
