Wiltshire tank fan!

Hi all,
Just a few lines to introduce myself, I'm fast approaching 40 and married to a very understanding lady who puts up with my mad ideas and hobbies. I got into building model tanks, 1/35, 1/72 etc a few years ago but got a bit fed up of static models. So a few years ago I bought a 1/16 IR Tiger 1 and had a lot of fun chasing my ex partners weimaraner around the lounge with it. Recently I got into 1/16 BB tanks and got a Taigen Panther with metal gears and tracks as a starter, then along came a Tiger 1. Several of us have them where I work and the plan is to have regular paintball battles between the Axis and Allies. Now I have a new project in the pipeline, having seen how much these tanks fetch on online sites I'm now working on a Heng Long King Tiger with Porsche turret from scratch, this will either become my new battlefield show stopper or go up for sale, then its back to the drawing board for the next one. Between my job, my wife, my vizsla and this new hobby I'm gonna be busy!

So far the KT P is stripped down and in the process of painting and having zim applied. Waiting for the internals to turn up and when its painted I'll get them installed. Small hiccup, ran out of dark yellow paint and airbrush propellant but I'll be back in at the weekend to get it smashed.

All going well with the KT P, internals are now in and working perfectly and the paint job is coming along.

Another hiccup encountered! The airsoft mechanism has a seperate connection which doesn't have a socket on the MFU? I thought the turret set up had all the wires going through the same loom and not a seperate one for the gun. Anybody got any ideas as to how to overcome this little problem????

I can't wait to see this project finished. I do like the Tiger 2, I think my next (when money allows) will be a King Tiger too. The Heng Long hulls are great as starting points. They are relatively cheap, fairly accurate and there are so many great detail parts available.

I see this post is quite old now, so how is it coming along? I hope all is well.
