Hi dodgydave1975,
Welcome to the Forum,
You will find that there is a wealth of knowledge and advice here......There is a search box located in the top right hand corner of the main Forum banner that is very useful but if you have any other questions or problems then just start a post.
The Older Heng Long Tiger with no smoke or sound will probably cause you problems sooner rather than later, I am sorry to say. I think that the radio controller for it ,will just have positions 'A,B & C' rather than a number on a pressed in plastic cover. If so then the Tiger will have two speeds of 'Fast and Faster'.....and these control boards are a weak point on the tank. It would be a good idea to put a small computer fan inside the Tiger to cool the circuit board...BUT...all the motors etc are soldered
directly to the circuit board, which means that if you split the hull from the chassis you must be
very careful NOT to pull any of the wires away....because it will be very difficult to see where they came from. Sorry to be a bit of a pessimist , but I am just being honest with you.
Alb.

Hello D , you can skip the smoker no probs , but I believe you will need to have the volume control switch - for the 'start up' circuit to complete . Not sure ifyou need the speaker , but it does let you know it's working .
